Use the table below to find the brand name of your TV, Receiver, or Audio device, and follow the instructions to program your TV remote with the corresponding codes. Unsure how to program your DIRECTV remote? Have no fear! We have supplied some very simple visual instructions that will work with any DIRECTV RC model remote control. DIRECTV Remote Codes Step 1: Press and Hold the 'Select' and 'Mute' buttons for 3 seconds, or until the Green LED at the top of your remote flashes 3 times. DIRECTV Remote Codes Step 2: Scroll down to the list of DIRECTV Remote Codes, and find your device manufacturer in the left hand column. Then begin testing the codes in the right hand column. Press the first digit of each code, and wait for the Green LED to blink twice before moving on to Step 3. DIRECTV Remote Codes Step 3: After successfully completing Step 2, enter the rest of each code. If the code was entered successfully, the Green LED will blink twice again. At this point, attempt using your DIRECTV Remote on the device you are programming it for. If your device does not respond, move on to the next code listed and repeat Steps 1 & 2 until successful. Hello M Kinney! If your RC71 DIRECTV remote fails to respond after holding Mute+Select for a few seconds, then hold number “1” down. If the light stays green, your batteries are good. Continue by holding the “Mute” and “Select” buttons down until the light on the remote blinks two times and enter “9,8,1”, this resets the remote. Then hold the “Mute” and “Select” buttons down again. This applies IR mode. Now we go back to hold the “Mute” and “Enter” buttons until the lights on your remote flash repeatedly. Try changing the channel. If it is successful then try the volume buttons and follow the onscreen directions to program your remote to your TV. If not then try to reset the receiver, there are times the IR sensor does not respond. If you are still experiencing the same issue following these procedures, it is time to call customer support. I am hoping to find an answer after many hours of exhaustive searching. I am trying to program my DirectTv remote with the codes for the Jensen TV in my coach. I beleive the directtv is a 6 digit code that has to be entered. I tried the one that the receiver said to try and also off the website. None work, a total of 3 that I could find. Has anyone been able to make this work? I beleive my receiver is a D-10 and not sure of the Jensen model but it is a 42' Plasma. The remote looks the same as the one in the bedroom which is a 24' or something. I have an 09 Damon Tuscany so they should be new TV's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 'Universal' remote controls are pre-programmed from the remote manufacturer. These remote manufacturers need to gather the IR coding information from the electronics manufacturer and include that information in their database. Most 'universal' remote controls will not be compatible with our TVs. The reason is that the 'universal' remote manufacturers typically do not include products made specifically for mobile applications as their primary use is for home products.
